Shawn Miller
Shawn graduated from Texas A&M with a Finance degree in 2008. After working in the financial industry for a few years, he transitioned into his long-time hobby of software development full-time in 2015 where he remains today. After working in software startups for a few years, he was thrilled to join the team at CODE Staffing in February 2023 where he now works as a Software Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry at EOG Resources.
Detailed Biography
Shawn graduated from Texas A&M with a Finance degree in 2008. After working in the financial industry for a few years, he transitioned into his long-time hobby of software development full-time in 2015 where he remains today. After working in software startups for a few years, he was thrilled to join the team at CODE Staffing in February 2023 where he now works as a Software Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry at EOG Resources.
Most of his time has been in front-end development, but his experience spans all levels of the stack. His current role at EOG Resources uses those skills to help make the work of upstream oil operators safer, more efficient, and ecologically sustainable. He’s been privileged to work with teams at the forefront of technology and his current team is no different as together they are pioneering new applications of generative AI to completely rethink the conventional UI/UX vocabulary.
When not working, he couldn’t be happier hanging with his family or spending time with a good book or on a long hike in the great outdoors.
