Yair Alan Griver serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CODE Staffing. Alan is a seasoned veteran of the computer industry taking leading roles in both startups and at Microsoft. At Microsoft, Alan was the founding Group Program Manager for the billing stream underlying Microsoft's Online services (Office 365, Dynamics, Windows Azure), an architect for the Microsoft.com community properties, and Group Manager for the Visual Studio Data group, which produces the tools used inside of Visual Studio, Office and SQL Server that surface data capabilities.
Prior to Microsoft, Alan’s first startup was a business and technical consulting company that was sold to GoAmerica, a publicly traded telecommunications company, where he served as CIO. Post-Microsoft, Alan was the VP of Development for a startup that created a suite of software for the casino industry based on an underlying data analytics platform. This startup was successfully sold to the Poarch Creek Indian Nation in 2014.
His last startup, Justice For Me, was a fintech created to bridge the justice gap that keeps 40% of Americans from affording attorneys.

Prior to Microsoft, Alan’s first startup was a business and technical consulting company that was sold to GoAmerica, a publicly traded telecommunications company, where he served as CIO. Post-Microsoft, Alan was the VP of Development for a startup that created a suite of software for the casino industry based on an underlying data analytics platform. This startup was successfully sold to the Poarch Creek Indian Nation in 2014. Alan was also the COO of an international consulting firm for 5 years.
His last startup, Justice For Me, was a fintech created to bridge the justice gap that keeps 40% of Americans from affording attorneys.
Alan is an advisor to multiple startups, the author of five books, the creator of various development frameworks, and has developed database systems ranging into the millions of users, bringing in billions of dollars in revenue. He has spoken around the world on databases, object orientation and development team management issues, as well as XML and messaging-based applications.

I showed off many of the new features coming in Sedna as well as a number of the enhancements being created by the community using the awesome extensibility built into VFP.

When I was asked to write a few pages on what's coming in the next version of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (code named Whidbey), the biggest issue I had was how to limit this article to a few pages.I opted to list a few categories and drill down into each. When creating a Windows DNA application, it is not enough to start creating COM objects and run them under MTS.Rather what is needed is a standard approach to analyzing DNA applications. This article provides a pattern language for COM objects. The purpose of this pattern language is to standardize discussion of types of components so that the design of these applications becomes more standardized.
